Tarot is the way I bring ritual into my busy, secular and modern life. I’ve been studying and practicing tarot for six years now, beginning in Los Angeles and now in California’s beautiful Central Coast.My divination practice provides clarity through reflection, symbolism, mythology, and storytelling.Tarot represents the experiences that we process, undergo and endure. Each card contains stories and myths and memories that reveal energies in a spread.Divination isn’t kind. It isn’t sunshine and rainbows or another way to avoid the heaviness. It is not a bandaid. It’s the peeling back of the bandaid, the decision to apply medicine or treatment. It takes a tremendous about of courage and self-awareness to keep returning to divination. To look at things as they are, not as what you wish them to be. So it is not for everyone, but that is okay. We are all in our spiral, in this chaos we call life.Tarot is witnessing. It is a snapshot of time. It is a liminal experience, like an extraordinary meal or an unforgettable concert. It’s an opportunity for you to face the next few days, weeks and months with some more understanding.
